TROPIC01 is an open-source secure element, a small chip whose only job is to protect secret keys. The challenge was to explain this idea visually, without relying on paragraphs of text. I translated it into a system of visuals for different audiences.

Description:
The one-pager is built for engineers deciding whether TROPIC01 deserves a closer look. It explains the chip's one job, protecting secret keys, on a single page.
An exploded view of the chip's internal layers sits at the center. A request goes in from the host CPU and only the result comes out, while the keys stay inside.
Concept:
The idea is to show the chip's openness instead of describing it. Most secure elements are black boxes. So I opened TROPIC01 up, splitting it into layers so the viewer can look inside, which is exactly what the product promises.
The visual tells the story in three steps:
See inside. The exploded chip makes the transparency visible. Every layer is shown and labeled.
Follow the flow. The REQUEST and RESULT arrows show that the host CPU never touches the key. It sends a request in and gets a result back.
Know what matters. The glowing "Keys stay inside" block sits at the heart of the chip, where the eye lands first.
The design is minimal and dark, with a single electric blue accent. The blue highlights the layers that matter most, so the page stays easy to scan. Corner-bracket labels give it a technical, blueprint-like feel without adding clutter.
